A few things first. I discovered that due to being on Naproxen/Alleve for a few years it has caught up with my system and I have developed GERD/acid stomach. The last year or more I have also noticed intestinal issues after eating a large meal and that's likely another issue with IBS/IBD spasming colon issue. Likely tied to the same problems but this has been going on a bit longer. Hence why I have had some minor acid reflux and am always edgy hungry and cranky because of that.
I haven't taken any alleve for three days and my hands are telling me as much. They say the replacement for that as a pain killer is Tylenol, I need anti inflammatory med as well as pain relief so I might have to talk to my doctor about that.
As for the hamster wheel, I've been getting food benefits from the county and unbeknownst to me and never got any notice, I needed to do a renewel form. Nothing in email or messaging or anything that I recall so when I tried to apply for MediCal and couldn't get all the info they needed they declined Medical AND my food benefits (CalFresh). I am currently on the phone for a third time and when I just entered my number to get a call back I hit the hang up button instead of the pound sign. AAARRRRGGGHH!
I now have to call back, explain the situation again with all my information AGAIN and then be put on hold AGAIN for the next available agent. (Okay, shorter wait time for real person and will wait for call back). If I didn't need that money so desperately for food I would have given up long ago.
Having an almost perpetual empty feeling stomach does not help my mood at all.
We are behind on rent, I could only give them 600 which put me under 100 in the bank, we were still 300 short from last month so that only put 300 toward this month, so next month I give what I can and it's a constant game of not quite catching up. Behind on SDGE and cable bill that is now only about 25 instead of 60 but still money I don't have room in the budget for. I am seriously going to look into doing grocery delivery because I know how to get in and out in a hurry and now have a car to do it. My limit for monthly income for SS is about 1250 which we only need about half that to make up the difference for bills.
We never have cash on us to even play the lottery because we do everything on our cards.
My gardening is the only thing that is keeping me sane right now and even that is a struggle. If you want to see what I've been doing over there check it out: https://greendinigardenguru.blogspot.com/
Only beds that are mine are on the left in the back and on the right at the end, you'll see when you look at my posts. Been doing that for about a year now and seems longer. Only bright time in my day at this point and wish it was brighter.
