Unless there's a change, we're in big trouble.

So I got the official letter that says, according to the county, two people making $2246 a month can survive with only an additional $20 for food. They must think we have nothing else going on as far as bills are concerned because that is not enough for anyone.

$1000 for rent, it isn't feasible to reduce either storage at this point so that's over $500 going to that, I am paying minimum I can on SDGE which I told them was $25 from a total of $325, phone bills are collectively about $100 and then there's the 'entertainment' which comes to about $50 (which they don't include), why does it sound like we spend less than we actually do?

I did the budget for what I get and I pay and I end up with $18 at the bottom. I only counted 500 toward rent because Jon pitches in 500 from his check. He only gets slightly more than I do and of the small, incidental bills that we would be able to drop would only amount to $20. Right... we have to survive on roughly $50 a month for food (including the $20 from the county)

I know how to cook and have the books to make stuff, if I had the room and tools and the kitchen space to do it.

We can stock up on some canned things, we've been subsisting on tuna sandwiches and rice right now, we finished the small pack of ramen noodles, our freezer is almost empty and same with the fridge and a few cupboards. I signed up for the food box handout that happens in about two weeks, that's chancy and we still have some bags of rice and spaghetti left over from the last one two months ago. I know what to buy to make stuff it's the more perishable things like meat and dairy that (have to) get used up faster.

I've got a list of things to buy that are needed. We're currently $700 behind on rent from last month and the month before. Oh yeah and the current manager is leaving sometime between the 20th and next month apparently. Another resident is taking over the job so it's good they are sticking with a 'resident' manager but still don't know if there will be any changes.

I am so done, still hungry but not aching hungry like last month, have no idea what was going on for a week where I felt like I was starving and had acid issues. I haven't had a 'full meal' to take my supplements and alleve so that's irregular now, which is not good. If I had regular meds that were necessary it would be very much worse.

At least we can do 'some' laundry today but likely not more for a few weeks.
