Still haven't been outside, yet. Picture is from a few weeks ago but similar weather today. The plan is get ourselves together (showers and such) to go down to the Cricket store and see about getting my phone resuscitated and pick up a few things at the store.
I slept SO good last night! I took the pill for reducing the urge to cough that has repeated warnings about not using machinery or driving or any cognitive thinking if taking it. So it is not a daytime pill. I slept a solid four hours I think, woke around 2, peed came back to bed and went back to sleep. took a little while but got there. Woke feeling so much better, breathing is good, good energy, good appetite, heart rate is steady with no 'pulse echo' in my ear and feeling like I'm finally on the mend. Tessalon Perles is the cough suppressant and is non-narchotic but numbs the bronchial and lung tissue to reduce the urge to cough. It does work great so I can sleep but then have to clear what mucus has accumulated in the morning. No refills on it but it's going to last a while since I'm only taking one at night. Will see if I need one tonight. When I get the new inhaler I may not need it at all.
I remember when I had pneumonia and the feeling when I could finally breathe was amazing. I'm still coughing but not nearly as bad but might take the mucus stuff just in case today. I can't walk very fast still, head feels like it's full of water so if I move too fast it kind of sloshes if that makes sense. Not quite helium balloon sensation but have to stop, turn, move, stop, turn move. I think driving will be okay, much better than yesterday. Which is as it should be.
We had to throw out the huge amount of ham sadly. Discovered a bag of cabbage that was long past prime about a month or two ago which was causing the stink in the fridge. Jon thought the ham was the culprit but I saw no other alternative because no one convenient to me wants it. Such a waste. I still have the bone and larger chunks in the freezer though and that will keep for a while. So food makings we have plenty, just have to start looking at 'heart healthy' foods that are also colitis friendly. Sigh.
Going to rest for a bit while Jon is occupado en el baño, not going to lie down just lean back or catch up on my ipad games. Rocky is napping on the bed he's calmed down as well, so all is well so far today.
