Not for anything like things going wrong, I had an allergy attack from out of nowhere. My right sinus felt like someone was reaching up and pulling a hair out about every five or ten minutes which made my left eye water... and the only thing at work to blow my nose was very coarse papertowels. By the end of the day I looked like I had been crying or had a helluva cold. I had to tell a few customers I dealt with that no, I wasn't contagious and that it was a severe allergic reaction. One guy said that in Texas it meant I was going to be rich. Too bad I wasn't in Texas or knew anyone there.
Today was a bit better, but if I even start thinking about yesterday my eye starts watering. Oh, and I discovered that it wasn't just me, one of the guys that wasn't even at work said he had a bad attack too and he lives miles away.
I bought some antihistamines on the way home and forgot to check to see if they were the drowsy or hyper kind... turns out to be a generic Benadryl type so last night I was trying to type on the computer, pay attention to Ava and not fall asleep. She finally settled down a bit and I was able to go to bed, but had to yell at her at least once to be quiet. She wasn't being loud, but for someone who was supposed to be watching a movie and going to sleep, she was being to active. I think Devon came home sometime soon after that. I think... I got a good nights sleep for sure.
I have a convention to attend this weekend and I'm officially on three panels, and I'm volunteering to help in order to pay my way through the weekend. I already set aside money for rent and with my second paycheck, I'm good for this week. I get paid again on next Friday, late for the rent, but that's okay. I missed last years con due to moving and they comped me this year as long as I volunteered.
Amber convinced Devon to be her daycare for twenty dollars less than the lady she was using before. This will save somewhat on gas and her expenses, and it give Devon some extra money he can either put in the bank, or save some other way toward a computer of his own.
He's so cute..he put Ava in his room with a movie on (she wanted to watch Prince Caspian of all things) and now he's sucked into watching it with her instead of being out here watching House episodes he's missed.
As for me... I need to get laundry done, my hair cut, and some new shoes before the weekend. I have a Jedi outfit I put together that I'll use for one of the panels I'm involved in and need some boots for that. I'll make sure they double as work boots too, to save money.
Okay, going to go to bed now, I'm still exhausted from yesterday as well as working hard today. I helped shovel some wet pine shavings for the bare root beds and got some actual hard work done. Tired me out! Back is a bit tired, just enough to let me know that I did some actual labor.
Time to bed down for the night..Devon and Ava are quiet and it's late enough....
niters.
