I saw Dr. C my reconstruction surgeon today and most of it was filling out the consent forms, and the possible side effects or issues that might come up with the surgery. He also gave me three prescriptions. One for Xanax if I can't get sleep the night before the surgery, one for an antibiotic (Keflex-I've taken it before) and something for nausea... oh well.
The Keflex I'll be filling the day before surgery, not so sure about the Xanex and definitely not the nausea medicine. It's a suppository! Good lord...
So.. the other bit of news is surgery has been moved back a day to the 15th because Dr. C decided...after I left the office apparently, that he wanted me to stay at least two days in the hospital. So its gone from an 'overnight' stay to two or three days. Which I was expecting anyway despite what I had been led to believe.
So, actual surgery date is the 15th but don't know if the time is the same, nurse didn't say anything about the time change. So pre-op is Tuseday morning and they'll be contacting me this week about what the procedure will be and any other things that I need to do.
I will need to go clothes and shoe shopping this weekend.
I need slip on shoes, loose, button up shirts (which I already have three, but need actual two piece pajamas) and loose fitting pants I can pull up with one hand. And a 'well fitting sports bra'. The problem is finding a sports bra in my size. I am not that big..and most of the time those are in sizes for women who need support while jogging. Luckily Walmart is affordable and I have no morality issues shopping there.
While going through Walmart today with Kathleen she picked a seersucker and floral 'housecoat' off a rack and said, 'here ya go!' I told her she was making me gag.
Anyway..that's the new news as opposed to old news or just news.
I gave the receptionist the two packs of paperwork for EDD and my time off request for the fabric store. They would fill them out and do the faxing to the appropriate places. Here's hoping. We're getting down to the wire now.
Geez... have to actually plan for a few days in the hospital now. I must remember to bring my knitting! Or actually, it would be a good time for a very small cross stitch project. I did that while I was in the hospital after having Devon.
I hope Talib and Olivia are okay... haven't heard anything from you guys in a while.
