about Tylenol not working and she said I could take Aleve as well as the vicodin if I need to. Yay! We'll see how things go this weekend on how much I need it. If I'm going to be feeling crappy it won't start until Friday or Saturday so, watching for any twinges or aches and will be carrying the Alleve with me everywhere.
Other than that, they slowed my Benadryl infusion so I didn't get thrown back in my chair, just got woozy and then felt like I needed a nap. I love my nurses! They're fantastic at knowing what to do and how to take care of things. They're all fantastic there really, they joke about poking us and making us uncomfortable and I turned to them and said, 'You're stellar!'. Where the heck that comment came from, I have no idea. It's their job unfortunately to give people drugs that makes us uncomfortable but it's all for the better. There are people there who are getting blood infusions as well as chemo so it's a wide range of different treatments.
The good thing about going in on a Wednesday is we get 'spa' treatment. The massage therapist comes around and does neck and shoulder massage, I got one but I'm not so good at relaxing when someone is doing that but I tried. Then the snack guy comes by with a basket of cracker and cookie selections. They have juice and stuff too so this is a pretty nice set up. The chairs are comfy and recline as well, and of course they have the ever warm cotton blankets should you need one. The only issue is the dvd players don't work without a remote for the player. :( Of course I was kind of drowsy for about an hour or so and couldn't do much of anything but close my eyes and nap.
There was a picnic set up outside this week with a lady singing and playing a guitar and if you wanted the picnic lunch it was $5 for a pasta dish and something else healthy. I wanted a sandwich. We stopped at one of the best Submarina's in town (since the one in Clairemont went south and closed and the one in Pt. Loma doesn't have the surfing guy crew anymore). Got a ham and swiss on rye and devoured it when I got home. The steroid shot they give me really boosts my appetite. I finished that sandwich and it didn't feel like I had eaten anything at all. I wasn't hungry but I didn't feel full either.
I have to go in for my Nulasta shot in a bit, got my lidocain patch on hoping that'll help with the pain from the shot. Then go hit the store and pick up a gallon of milk and maybe a loaf of bread for me and some quarters to do laundry.
So... Doing some stitchign, do a little housework today while I have the energy and then maybe go for a walk since the weather is nice outside today. Wait, I'll be getting a walk when I go for my shot and go shopping. hehehe.
Men are generally idle, and ready to satisfy themselves, and intimidate the industry of others, by calling that impossible which is only difficult. - Samuel Johnson
