It's a go!

Surgeon's office called and reconstruction is scheduled for Aug. 31. woohoo!
There was some confusion though, as the nurse had told me September 31 pre-op was yesterday (Aug 19) and post op was Sept 6.
Ummm, pre op a month before surgery?  Didn't dawn on me until the next morning that September only has 30 days. So I verified when I got there that yes indeed, it was the end of this month, in two weeks.
She actually called me on Thursday but because of the date confusion I didn't want to post here until I verified it. Down time should only be about four weeks tops, according to him, which is fine because then I am free to go to Disneyland for my birthday!  As long as I have the money.
Just wanted to post this update quick before heading off to get new shoes before work.  My feet have been killing me and most of that is likely due to needing new shoes.
One other quick note, there is an all Disney Expo happening right now, D23 which I guess is kind of like a cross between Comicon and the Apple Expo. They inducted Jim Henson and four of the ladies that voiced princess into their hall of fame. (I have Disney as one of my faves on facebook so am getting status updates from that wall).
Anyway, one of the photos is a shot of Kermit singing Rainbow Connection with a picture of Henson up on the wall behind him. Makes me cry every, single, time hearing that song. Might not cry so much if Henson were still alive but it is so poignant and ... just.....::crying::
