Better every day...

As it should be.
Still stiff of course, can't reach very far or anything but it's getting there. I think because my boobs stretched when I was pregnant the doctor was basing my size on what they are now..which is bigger than my 'normal' size. They don't quite match, but it's better than nothing for sure! Once I'm all healed up I'll go bra shopping for a proper fitting support...whooo! Not used to having a big chest, they've always either been hanging to my stomach and not properly supported which means I sagged and never really stood up straight to show them off. Who knows, this might give me a little more confidence again in a weird sort of way that I never knew I was missing. right.
Oh.. and I think if a doctor ever tells me that I need to increase my fiber intake or take a laxative because one of my meds might make me constipated... I think I'll pay attention. 'nuf said.
(peripheral areas on my chest are starting to itch...urrrgh! Compounded by the gauze pads that are on them tickling the skin... aaaa!!!)

I got a new ipod finally with the insurance money. I really needed a new one and if I can get my old one refurbished/fixed I'll give that one to Devon. New one cost the same as my other one and yet this has a camera and face time. I love how technology does that. I have had the same model camera for the past six or eight years, but each time I buy a new one, the megapixel count is higher and costs the same as the previous version from two or three years before. Now all I need is a new phone before this one dies or is dropped/lost.
Spent some of the day yesterday out with Amber, Ava and one of the boys, getting Ava some new clothes and a few other things at WalMart. We let Ava pick out six or seven outfits and then whittled it down to three, then got her some shoes and socks. I'm glad I had the money to be able to do that for them. Amber was stressed about not having good clothes and shoes for Ava to start school. It's one of those rituals that I remember stressing about when my kids were going to school. We were able to pull it off though and everyone turned out okay.

One of the things I picked up at the store in the $5 cd bin was 'Classic YES'.  Oh yes folks... I wouldn't have picked it up but it had three of my favorite songs of theirs on it and hey, it was only five bucks. Amber didn't know who the band was (being way before their time but their music is still played) so I told her to skip to the last track, "I've Seen All Good People" she immediately recognized it and had liked it. It was a live rendition recorded in Oakland but that's okay. My daughter has grown up with an appreciation of 'good' rock and roll. lol!
When I told Katie and her brother what it was and that it was 70's music they both groaned. I will have to enlighten them, it's not the typical 70's music, I told them. It's not whiny protest music, it's not disco..it's CLASSIC rock.  They were still doubtful. Oh well.
If I had tried to buy the four songs that I like off itunes it wold have cost me as many dollars. As it is, I got nine songs for five dollars. I can deal with that  even if I only wanted four of them.

On the project side of things I still have not mailed off the two pairs of earrings for Livvy due to not having gold hooks or posts to mount the pink ones on. Will have to borrow some from Katie's stash. I am also knitting a small 'Beady Bag' out of sock yarn and beads. Nothing fancy or big, but it's cute, pictures will be taken soon.

Really need to get my desk cleared off and my room straightened..now that I'm home all the time, but can't lift anything... durn it. Oh well. I'll try and do it before I go back to work in a few weeks.

Yeah, look how many confident ignorant people are in charge of the country!
