I'm home...

Surprisingly enough, able to sit up and type at the keyboard. Most of the serious drugs are worn off thankfully but I'll still be taking a nap today.
Had a bowl of cereal (Cheerios) and a few huge grapes out of a bowl of grapes only about two were not sour, sadly.
As long as I don't move quickly or reach over my head, I'm pretty good today. Katie has prep to do at her work site for next weeks start of school so she'll be gone most of the afternoon. I messaged Devon to see if he can come over just as a 'spotter'. Help me get out of bed and such, since both sides of my chest are out of commission.
When I filled my prescriptions yesterday one of them, much to my dismay and surprise, was a suppository. For nausea. 0.o I don't think so.
If I had known that was on one of the prescriptions I would have told them not to fill it and save me ten dollars. I think in the future I'm going to have to be more careful about what the doctor prescribes and remind the pharmacist they need to tell the customer what is on the prescription.
It's warm enough today that I'm going to need Katie to change my dressings before she leaves. Sweat and new wounds don't go well together.
In figuring my recovery time, if I double how well I feel every day, I should be ready for work in about two weeks. Maybe three.
Other than that, just hanging out and being on the computer all day again. I'm limited to not lifting any more than three pounds and nothing over my head. I can do this.
I do wish there as a local anesthetic I could put on instead of taking pills. My whole body doesn't hurt, just my chest so why not put the pain killer where it's needed instead of knocking me out.
Oh that was another adventure...
When I came out of surgery, they gave me an intravenous painkiller 'dilordin' or something like that.. knocked me OUT! When I woke from that they gave me TWO percoset. 10mg each. That knocked me OUT again!  After that I was talking to the nurse about it and she said the IV one was 20 times stronger than percoset. whoa.  One percoset was enough to put me to sleep. Yeah so needless to say I was only on one percoset as needed for pain. I have that and vicodin for my home care.. and needless to say I only will need that at night. I didn't fill the Xanax prescription either. That seems to be his standard list of prescriptions for pills. I like when a doctor ASKS what I might need first instead of just ordering what he thinks you need. Oh well. Hoping I don't need to go through anything like this every again.
Am now going to go check in with some other friends online and see if I can get Katie to change my dressings despite her mom being over for a visit.
