"They shoot horses don't they?"

To quote a movie title...
My car battery died again overnight. It's got one last chance to get revived and then I'm 'gettin' a gun'.
Had to take the bus to work yesterday morning and clocked in 15 minutes late, luckily the rest of the day wasn't too bad. I got to babysit the grandkids again which is a plus, the minus was Dan was in a pool tounament and didn't get home until 1 am. Amber had picked me up so they could go out and she came home when I messaged her around ten. The kids all went to sleep eventually before he got home so we couldn't pile all three sleeping kids into the car. (Don't go there, it's a mom rule that we generally try not to break.)
So anyway... taking the bus again this morning so as not to wake roommate ungodly early on a Saturday. Hopefully... Amber said Dan would come and take out my battery today and get it checked, if it's good I need an auto electrician/mechanic, if it's bad they'll buy a battery or I'll buy one and that issue is fixed. The rest of the engine issues preventing it from passing smog is another matter.
I just got paid a little more than I thought but most of that money goes to rent and bills.
Other than that...how was your week?  (smile)
I've got three scarf projects I'm working on, one for grandson back east and two others that have yet to be started that will be paid projects.
Alas... on the earring project I looked at the pair that I made and I had made them instinctively in silver when they should be gold.  Honest I haven't forgotten, it's that pile of life that keeps accumulating.
I did sell another pair from my Artfire inventory and got those mailed on Thursday. I've got a brown crystal bead necklace that's almost done and plans for a dark blue and black one.
My plans for a Halloween costume are kind of shot unless I can get back to the fabric store and get the black fabric I needed. I bought a purple and black feathered and poofed witches hat and was going to go as a professor from Hogwarts. I needed a black robe though and with my car down, I can't get to the Goodwill store down the street from work nor can I get to the fabric store in a timely fashion.
I knew that if I talked it up enough it wouldn't happen.
Well anyhow have to get off now and scoot out the door to walk up to the bus stop.
Hi ho, hi  ho...
