Plugging along, not much to say. Again

See this is why I don't post anything here, my life is basically boring.
But when something does happen it happens in a big way. (don't worry nothing happening this time)
Devon returned from his jaunt up to Washington and wants to go back up there. Amber is twitterpated with a new guy and the official separation papers were signed for her and Dan. Kiri and her family are moving into a new place again and appear to be scraping by.
Me and Katie.. doing okay. We've actually made two trips to the bookstore in as many weeks. I actually bought books. Recreational reading books even!
I found the 'William Shakespeare's Star Wars' and 'The Empire Striketh Back'. If you want a really good giggle, and possibly just an interesting fun time I suggest getting those. I want to take the opening act of TESB and get some people together in appropriate costumes and act it out. It would be so much fun! Put it on as if it were a Shakesperean play using period costumes that echo the costumes from the movie. (If you're curious there are pdf's of the first pages of both books available to download online.)
Oh the reason why just the first act, I am not a director nor producer and have no money so it would be just that short bit to do either outside at ComiCon or another small con in October. It would certainly be a hoot! The issue with ComiCon is it is soo noisy we'd have to resort to yelling. Unless we did it in one of the hallways in the convention center..hmmm. IF I get a free pass this year. ComiCon is in July, that's only three months away. I think it's going to be October instead. Or do it as a dramatic reading somewhere outside. Will have to see.
Other than that, it's Spring in San Diego. Rain, no rain, cold at night, warm during the day. I just noticed something, why is it 'at night' but not 'at day'? Why is night an event type thing but not daytime? Would it be the opposite if we were nocturnal? Silly grammar.
Oh, I had my mammogram and a bone density scan a few days back, will see how the bone density matches up with the fancy schmancy scale we've got. Glad to know that I was doing something wrong to make it give me an Errh (fat % too high).
In other news, the Century theater complex in San Jose, where so many of my epic movie watching happened in the early and mid 70's has closed. They are due for being torn down and replaced with another mall. Sigh. Another piece of childhood gone. Those theaters are where I saw all the Star Wars movies the first time, Indiana Jones, Airplane, the first Star Trek movie, and more. I remember riding my bike there when I didn't have any money to see Star Wars and stood at the back door of the theater to listen to it, knowing it by that time by heart. It wasn't like I had my ear planted to the door, the speakers behind the screen were close so I could sit on my bike and hear it just fine. I think I had seen it about three or four times by that point.
I don't remember my dads reaction to seeing it over Labor Day weekend, just remember him begin pissed that he had to stand in line for so long because I said no one would be there on the holiday. The line was through the parking lot and doubled back!
So now, am living Star Wars through a virtual world online and reading the Shakesperean version of it. What a wonderment.
