Good interview, won't know for at least a week

Just needed to post a picture of Rocky sleeping on my desk shelf. Why is he so cute?

So I think the interview went well, I have all the things to make me a top candidate for the job. When he asked if I had any college I said I had 3 years of Landscape Design but never was able to finish it. 'Well look at that!' he turns to his interview notes and writes down (what I suppose he did) 'AA Landscape Design'. There were three points that were pluses, the other two were 3 years big box experience and 'over 5 years' experience in the plant industry. He talked about his experience, asked me the four questions for the interview which were easy compared to the typical ones you get 'what's your greatest weakness' and 'what do you hope to feel at the end of the day in customer service'. Yeah I don't like those either.

Lowes operates slightly different from HD in that I will be working pretty much independent with the other lady and he will only come out and poke around when he needs to check on displays and safety stuff. They have one person (I think) that does all the watering. We don't have to pick up a hose at all. Drat, I really like watering but this frees up the other associates for taking care of stock and customers. Oh and associates get a 10% discount on product in the store. Yay.

He had three more interviews to do in the next few days but I was only one of two others for a full time position and he was hiring three part time. He said to watch for an email or message maybe a phone call in the next two weeks. Crossing fingers, seems like a slam dunk right? Don't want to be too optimistic and jinx it. Like I said, if I can hold onto that for three years and six months I can completely retire.

Hoping Jon can get a job there too, there's a few openings, but not exactly what he's good for. Electrical and plumbing department supervisor... could almost see him doing that.

In other news, I remember saying they sprayed black Armor All on everything, and when we noticed it in the back cargo area we asked for him to wipe it down. Well.... this is after leaning on it with my fists in the back because the carpet liner was still slimy from it. It is just oozing that crap all over the place. No way we can wash it ourselves because of complex rules. It needs a double washing along with the actual hard surface it sits on. It's just disgusting. Can't take it to a car wash and wash them there because then they'll be wet in the back until we get home and can hang them out to dry. Carpet cleaner maybe? It is just all over every black surface in and outside the car. Still has that plastic smell too not new car smell at all, so just might contact the dealer and tell them to NEVER do that to the fabric or carpeting and lay off it on the plastic inside as well. Sure it makes the car look all new but it is hell to get off. We used windex on the steering wheel so it wasn't all oily and slippery.

Sigh, not going to go to a detailer for it because then we'd have to wait for a few hours for them to get done with it. Any ideas you come up with, you know how to find me.
