I don't think I've had one this bad in a few years. And yes it is allergies, I know the difference.
I remember the first time I had one and my dad trying to put eyedrops in my eyes because that seemed like it would help. Didn't know it was allergies at the time but now I do know and it has something to do with a common plant in the canyons and dry areas of California. They seemed to get worse when I moved down here so it is likely a local plant.
I worked in a nursery for almost 20 years, you'd think I would have figured it out but noooo, nothing there ever bothered me this bad so not cultivated. Usually starts with the Santa Ana's then, depending on the weather patterns, either flares up like now or it just slowly ebbs back out. I've had a stuffy nose for weeks now so that means whatever is in bloom, it's really close to where I live and in full blazing glory. Tried doing a search for what is in bloom but the results were less than helpful, same with 'pollen sources' because then what comes up is 'Ragweed' and folks, we don't have the same ragweed here as back east and the midwest. I actually don't think I've seen California ragweed. Might have to take a walk tomorrow and see what I can find. Right after I get some non-drowsy allergy medicine.
Other than that, nothing new. Have to figure out how much gas I can guy tomorrow at Costco. I traded 'plant based protein patties' for real burgers with a friend, also gave away four of the five cucumbers we got and a small tube of beef chorizo. Basically cleared out some of the stuff we wont' be eating. There's another free food thing happening at the end of the month but not going to it if it's the same stuff. We ate all but one of the corn cobs, oh and gave away the three cottage cheese/raspberry things we got as well and the canned goods are still in the cupboard. I need a real kitchen dammit!
Did I mention going to Costco and drooling over the appliances? We were there for picking up a few things and just happened to go that direction...
Was looking through listings again and found a nice 3/2 mobile home in Kelso, WA that was under $100k! Area looked nice, good size home too at 1500 sq ft if the listing is to be believed. The lot lease was even reasonable at 695. (I saw one that was listed as having 2 br 4 ba. uhhh yeah... it was a 2/2.) Soo anyway, there was that one and about three others all under 100k mostly in Oregon and mostly down the center in farm/industrial areas. I steered clear of one that had some sort of industrial/shipping facilities right next door. I always look at other units in the area if possible and unfortunately most of the time the street view can't go into the park because it's private property. Speaking of that!
Why have street names in a mobile home park if all you do is number them according to the street the entrance is at! Also, the numbering systems are all over the place as well! I was looking for one place that was 224 or something, no such number existed in the park, it was 100's on one side, 300's on the other side of the same street and then the next street over was the beginning of the 100's totally ludicrous.
So sometimes I have to go by rooftop shape and try to pinpoint it that way, which I spent a good half hour trying to find one place doing that. The marker according to Google Maps was at the opposite end even with the Trailer number on the address. So frustrating.
Oh I got a notice that my dental insurance was cancelled from lack of payment. I tried to get on the website for two weeks and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Oh well will try again another time and put it on my list. That should be a higher priority than dreaming about a new place to live, same with my eyes. Without my old coverage that basically paid for everything, can't consider doing anything like that for the extra cost.
Something else I've discovered is I can't eat large meals due to IBS/D. If I over eat then I have to run to the bathroom within an hour. I've been snacking through the day the last few days and have had no issues. So unfortunately no more large meals out, even a sandwich larger than a 6" will give me issues. Mexican meal? Fuggetaboutit. Makes me sad. I had half a huge burrito from a local place and that sent me to the toilet within two hours. Stupid getting old stuff is cramping my style.
Still doing my stretches/light exercise when I take Rocky out, getting some gardening done but no walking recently other than Costco/Target shopping. So again, not much else to report, updates when they occur irregularly.
