Went to urgent care on Sunday just so I could get some antibiotics since I don't have dental coverage or money. Got some amoxicillin and a recommendation to try the UCSD dental college. Right. It was indeed an abscess and later that evening it found an outlet where my missing tooth is. Talk about nasty for three hours! Was feeling very much better but it filled back up again overnight and have been trying to work it with my tongue and gentle massage to keep it low. It felt like a grape before now it's a much smaller grape even after it drained. Swishing with warm salt water and dutifully taking antibiotic as directed. Being cautious when eating and doing research on finding cheapest available dentist. I will probably drop my vision coverage and pick up the dental again. And no, can't switch to MediCal for whatever reason due to circular instructions on the website. Still trying to figure that out as well. If I do switch to that, I can't keep my current doctor/provider and have to go with something else. I just got this doctor and like her better than the previous one. Updates on that when they happen.
Other than that, going to help a friend at ComiCon at the end of July. She's doing a trivia game panel and needed help so I'll be in the program book and Jon will get either a one day or full pass for the weekend. Just hope we can save enough money between then and now to actually maybe think about buying some small stuff without using my credit card.
Speaking of that, behind on a payment for the card, behind on SDGE by two months, behind on rent by a month (total). We're getting a new manager but that's not going to change much. New late fees are about the only thing that's changed and honestly, I'm paying what I can, take out what is needed from that and will do what I can next time.
The only other bright spot in my universe is my gardening. Got some seeds from a friend and can't really plant those until I get some proper soil in the ground, which is low priority given my other bills. I've closed my etsy account so that's less than $10. Trying to figure out what else to cut, oh yeah and Jon got a letter from his storage saying it's going up to $190. Mine is almost double that. We will be working more diligently on trying to consolidate and possibly sell things but that's a tall order considering it takes a 1/4 tank to go to storage and back.
Had to sew up a split in my shorts the other day because I can't afford new ones. We've at least got enough food for a while. It's just the bigger costs that we have a hard time covering. All kinds of things we're having to do to make ends meet and still not making it.
So there's yet another depressing update of my life.
Oh another bright spot is I got to text with Devon for a bit last week. He's doing good, his boss finally officially made him manager of the store AND he's saving up and doing research/talking with the owner of the cabin he rents to buy it sometime next year. Still shares the cabin with his friend Rem so it sounds like he's well settled in and there for the duration. So proud of that kid despite his rocky early years he's doing okay.
Amber's doing good, kids are doing good her oldest Logan (formerly called Ava) is graduating from high school sometime this month. Krys (formerly Kirsten) as far as I know is happy and doing good where he is. (If I start going into that choice I'll start crying, it hurts more than I thought)
So son is doing better than expected, which I could say the same for me.
