And then... life throws you a curve ball

Good curve ball, I found out last night that Amber not only can handle the cost of getting my car fixed, she also has Zelle. I don't know why I thought she was with a credit union that didn't do that. So it makes transferring cash much, much easier. She'll forward the cash for the tow to the shop on Monday and then when it's done she'll come get me and drive to the shop to pay for it and pick it up. Poor thing looks like a derelict sitting since June. It'll be interesting because it will be three months to the day that it stopped working on the 14th.

Crossing fingers, knock on wood and all that jazz. Because no sooner do I start telling people about something good, it falls through.

Curve ball not so good. I woke up this morning and my right knee had a sore spot on the cap like I had bumped into something.  I didn't remember hitting anything recently but I was getting on and off conveyances yesterday and maybe swiveling in my chair I bumped into the desk. Who knows. It was just sore, I took a shower just fine then was sitting down and putting my shoes on it was a bit cranky, I stood up and holy heck broke out in my kneecap. I could not put any weight on it at all, stretching it out is not an option that is comfortable and have to wait for another hour or so to take either alleve or ibuprofen for the inflammation. I still have my knee brace and put that on, then put the rice pack in the freezer and applied that so it's feeling a 'little' better. I hope it's feeling a lot better by Friday because we still have to take the bus and trolley then and on Monday.

We were supposed to take the bus up to the store to get a few groceries that were needed. Sigh. So sat down at the computer at Jon's suggestion to order delivery again. $122 for 23 items. I bought 1 lb of hamburger 1 24 case of coke, a small case of water (they were out of our usual selection) and the usual staples we needed. Except I forgot we needed rice. Not crucial but needful eventually. Had to buy zip lock baggies as well which had to come out of my dwindling pocket.

Oh and what we also didn't count on was a workman outside our door working on the rotting decking that has been covered by a metal plate for three years. So that was all opened up in front of our door and the neighbor when the delivery arrived. He put the metal plates back down and it wasn't a huge order so it went easily.

Whoof. What a day. It isn't that hot today but with the exponential heat rising in the apartment we just closed up at 3:30.

I am seriously short on money to pay the rest of my bills.  Hoping for the kindness of friends and family once again. I really didn't want this kind of life but it seems to be my standard way of life as long as I can remember. Always needing help with something whether it's homework, housing or health. So it isn't just an 'adult bad planning' sort of thing, it's been my life all along.
