Pumping it up... and adventures

Transit adventures today were less than satisfactory to say the least and in no particular order, here is a run down.

We encountered smells and personalities that are not the best on the bus and the trolley. So much so that the last bus we were on someone got on that had anger and bladder issues and we decided to get off at the first available stop that was civilized, which turned out to be the local mall. Someone on previous bus got on with McDonald's and most of the ride until our final stop was smelling fried chicken and old fashion hot dogs. Needless to say we were both very hungry by the time we got back to our neighborhood.

The trolley going out had an issue with one of the doors, someone or something was impeding it closing so we were delayed by about ten minutes. A girl sitting behind me asked another passenger, 'why aren't we moving? We're going to be late'....... he at least said there was an announcement about the doors and that was the problem. She also had opened up her lunch kit and wafted the fried chicken smell and spices throughout our section of the trolley. Like we are all instantly more cognizant of transportation issues than she was.

For clarification this is what our trolley trains looks like. Special events and advertising wraps are applied on some trains. All electric and monitored so is relatively safe, though diligence with passengers on a four or five car train is not the best.

As for the actual visit, I have three more sessions until I'm at the cut off that we have all agreed may be the best point. After my visit this Thursday I will call the radiology doctor to make an appointment for the alignment and marking. I'll ask for a little more clarification this next visit and try to pound it into my brain to remember. Laci is the nurse/PA that has been doing most of my visits so far and actually like her much better than the actual doctor. She seems more engaged and has more information than Camberos who seems to not speak clearly and in a lower tone which makes it difficult to understand him sometimes. Anyway..

I've completely forgotten about getting a blood lab done that was supposed to happen around the 5th this month. By the time we are headed home, it's too late so will see if I can get that done this week.

Still waiting for possible help with car. We are very low on provisions so will be taking the bus to the store tomorrow and get what we can carry. We meant to stop on the way home today but by the time we got to that area, we were so hungry we stopped at 5 Guys for food. Got the minimum we could manage to eat out of Jon's pocket money so paper goods may have to be minimal from the store rather from Costco.

I need a different word than 'adventure' because so far none of this has been much fun as an 'adventure' would lead you to believe.

Oh the weather wasn't too bad either and because it was only supposed to get up to 83 today we didn't turn on the AC. We forgot to put the heat screen up in the kitchen window so it was 90 inside when we got home.

Bleh. The stink of the bus and trolley is still in my brain.
